Quis sapiens, et intelliget ista?
Intelligens, et sciet haec?
Quia rectae viae Domini,
et iusti ambulabunt in eis;
praevaricatores vero corruent in eis.
Let him who is wise understand these things;
let him who is prudent know them.
Straight are the paths of the Lord,
in them the just walk,
but sinners stumble in them.
Któż jest tak mądry, aby to pojął,
i tak rozumny, aby to rozważył?
Bo drogi Pańskie są proste:
kroczą nimi sprawiedliwi,
lecz potykają się na nich grzesznicy.

Nie bójcie się tych, którzy zabijają ciało,
lecz duszy zabić nie mogą.
Bójcie się raczej Tego,
który duszę i ciało może zatracić w piekle.
